Community trademark
One of the most important advantages of the CTM system is that it
offers an extremely cost-effective way of protecting a trademark
in all the European Union countries, since it avoids multiple application
fees, translation costs and attorney fees. Another significant advantage
is that, in order to sustain a CTM registration throughout the EU, it is only
necessary to use the registered trademark in part of the region.
Our firm is based in Alicante, which is the seat of the OHIM. As a
consequence, ABOGADOS DAUDEN has already found itself at the
forefront of a number of procedures under the Community trademark
regime. In particular, we have already built up considerable experience
in dealing with CTM oppositions and appeals.
